About
I was born in Hoi An ancient town, a UNESCO world heritage in Vietnam. I received the B.S. degree in Information Technology from the University of Science of Ho Chi Minh city in September 2005. I then received M. Phi. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science at Chonnam National University, Korea in 2008 and 2011, respectively. I am currenly working for Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
I am a highly passionate software engineer and researcher, focusing primarily on machine learning, image processing, computer vision, and data anylysis and visualisation. My 10+ years of professional experience, on top of my undergraduate and post-graduate studies, have equipped me with a profound knowledge of object-oriented design and development, debugging and troubleshooting product issues, and doing research. In addition, I possess strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills; a passion for solving puzzles, algorithms, and developing on a rock-solid foundation; and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment either independently or in a team.

- • Monash SeRP - a secure environment for sharing research data for collaboration and analysis, within the control and governance of the data custodian
- • Monash Medical AI Group (MMAI)
Skills
System administration
- • Proficiency in building and administration of visualisation clusters and HCP systems
- • Working knowledge on cloud platforms like openstack, kubernetes
Programming
- • 10+ years of professional experience in developing multi-platform programs with C/C++
- • Proficiency in building 3D graphics programs with OpenGL and optimizing programs with OpenMP/CUDA

- • Great experience in processing scientific data: natural images, biomedical images, LiDAR, microscopy images
